One Warrior

Introduction

 

It was earlier assumed that the bigger the staff of the developer company, the better their projects, only, in fact, the proportion is far from being applicable as a general rule. A good deal of big companies these days produce unworthy content while smaller creative groups put their heart and soul into their work and delight the gamers with their outstanding projects. One Warrior is one of those dark horses out there, made by developers from Ilya Yashin. It is a game that narrates the deed of a Soviet hero during WW2. 

 

Story Line

 

Falling to onslaught from the Heinz Guderian's 4th Armored Division, the remaining 13th USSR Army retreated. 17 July 1941 the commander decided to leave the bridge over the river Dobrost 476-kilometer highway Moscow - Warsaw disguising 60 ammunition shells with the objective to hold the adversary's tank column. When the German tanks were approaching the bank side, Nikolay Syrotynin blew their lead vehicle as well as their armored fighting vehicle bringing up the rear, and then started to bombard his own ammunition set. As a result of a two-hour long combat, Syrotynin alone destroyed 7 armored machines, 11 tanks and no less tan 57 soldiers and officers. He received an Order of the Patriotic War, First Class, posthumously.
