Puzzle Craft 2

Introduction 

CHILLINGO proved they can make great games. Fightback, Catapult King, Tiny Troopers, Incredible Jack, Robbery Bob 2 are their most popular creations. The quality comes as no big surprise for this developing group is a branch from Electronic Arts. This time they decided to entertain us with a new sub-genre to a city construction incorporating the principle of three-in-a-row to its core and giving us the marvelous Puzzle Craft 2.

Storyline 

The story tells us of a people led by their king/queen(your preference only) venturing far beyond their own lands to seek new territory. They got into a storm during their journey and their wrecked ship was thrown to a seashore close by. To survive you have to help them explore these unknown  lands and, later on, colonize them. 

Gameplay 

The story is pretty typical, but not the gameplay. The construction process is classical but the resource search follOws the three-in-a-row principle. The game filed is 5 to 5 squares and the longer your lines of identical resources is, the more expensive ones you will get. Connecting trees will give you timber. If there are more than 5 trees, they will turn into a turkey; 5 turkeys give you eggs, and so on. There are currently 35 types if resources, 25 kinds of animals, 10 types of farming equipment, and around 20 different jobs. 

Bottom Line 

Puzzle Craft 2 is so engaging that we couldn't stop playing it. Reserving only about ten minutes for its trial we ended up playing for a whole hour.
