Introduction 

 

DotEmu is known for dealing exclusively with large-scale high-budget projects (the cost of their products per copy usually fluctuates between 2 and 6 dollars), therefore, it os easy to suggest that if these guys pock out a project to port to the mobile platform, it must be a hit. It is enough to mention projects like Another World, Little Big Adventure, Double Dragon Trilogy, The Last Express etc. Their next bomb is Ys Chronicles 1.

Story Line

 

Only several years ago the Kingdom of Estria was famous for its rich supply of silver, but one day, the mines shook with an ancient evil released from within the depth of the earth. It sent great storms to the kingdom and flooded it so it was next to impossible to reach the place. As it often happens, one man did manage to break through the water. It was the courageous warrior named Adol Christin who volunteered to thwart the wickedness befallen upon the people of Estria.

 

GamePlay

 

Using just the virtual joystick (all hits are performed automatically), you are expected to explore the entire territory of the kingdom of Estria and meet about 80 different characters along the way as well as procure weapons and magic artifacts to help you defeat the enemy.  

 

Bottom Line

 

Just as good as PC and PSP users remember it, Ys Chronicles 1 now conquers a new platform.
