Ancient Empire: Strike Back

Introduction 

Another young developing company from Arkhangelsk, Russia, called Statlex, made educational games for children, and then all of a sudden issued Ancient Empires, their first game for older audiences which appealed to them greatly. They asked for part 2 and here it comes. Ancient Empire: Strike Back invites you for a journey of an outstanding war leader. 

Story Line 

After the mighty brothers Valadorn and Galamar crushed the forces of evil on the battlefield, they became rulers of the kingdom of Torin rebuilding its majesty stone by stone. To protect their realm, our characters chose three cathedrals to set magic cristals of valor, wisdom, and life along the perimeter of the territory to serve as amulets. Despite all the defense, the valor cathedral was attacked by a terrible army of demons, so the brothers had to unleash their weapons once again to fight the enemy.

GamePlay

Basically, we are playing a classical step-by-step strategy where you control each character from your army in turns, slashing the swarming demons and occupying rivaling constructions bringing them to pay taxes. Geographical location plays an important role here, so before attacking a rival unit, think about how likely you are to succeed from where you stand.

If you are a bit nostalgic for pixel graphics of the 90s and fond of step-by-step strategies, then you should enjoy Ancient Empire: Strike Back.
